Clearwater Music School has been welcoming students since 2012, and every lesson is one-to-one with a specialist teacher. We match students to the right person for their instrument, age and goals, so you teach pupils who are genuinely keen to learn with you.

What teaching here looks like

You will teach friendly, pay-as-you-go one-to-one lessons for all ages and abilities: complete beginners, children finding their confidence, adults returning to an instrument and more advanced players pushing further. There is no audition for students and no rigid syllabus imposed on you. You tailor each lesson to the person in front of you, at a pace that feels natural and enjoyable.

Lessons are 30, 45 or 60 minutes. Students book only for the lessons they want, with no long contracts, which keeps the atmosphere relaxed and positive for everyone. If you are new to the area, you can read more about how we work on our music lessons in Chorley page.

Who we are looking for

We are interested in working musicians and experienced teachers who are patient, encouraging and brilliant with beginners as well as more advanced students. You should be confident teaching your instrument one-to-one, happy communicating with parents or adult learners, and excited to build a regular teaching practice in Lancashire.

We welcome enquiries from teachers of every instrument. If you are unsure whether we have space for your specialism, get in touch anyway: we are always open to expanding what we offer when the right teacher comes along.

Where you would be teaching

The Old Bank, 77 Railway Road, Brinscall, Lancashire, PR6 8RJ. The school is a few minutes from Chorley town centre, with students travelling from across Lancashire. On-site parking and a welcoming reception area make it easy for families and adult learners to visit week after week.
